How to Identify Persuasive People and Professionals
Persuasive professionals are those who convey trust in an integrated network of other people and professionals with whom they work together to achieve common and shared goals.
We have been able to identify several characteristics of these professionals, of which I highlight in the following.
They connect. They connect with each other.
One of the key features of an extremely persuasive person is their ease in creating connections with the people around them. People who create connections end up having greater ease in creating relationships and trust.
They are not ‘boring’.
Individuals who are standard persuasion magnets are not boring. They know when they are invading the space of others and, to keep up the levels of persuasion, they know how to give time and space.
They value who surrounds them.
One of the ways to keep whoever we want in our orbit is to be able to value those around us in a way that keeps people interested. Personal and professional relationships need to be nurtured, giving value and attention to people is crucial to keep them close.
They make a good first impression.
There is only one opportunity in life to create a good first impression, which in a significant part of the time, is the impression that we carry to the end. Often this first impression is made from small details, such as a good handshake, good presentation or even a look in the eyes.
They listen.
Listening to those around us and giving importance to whoever gives us feedback is one of the best strategies to keep levels of persuasion high.
